3 Ingredient Recipe for Dog Ice Cream

3 Ingredient DIY Dog Ice Cream:
Quart of Fat Free Greek Yogurt
2 Bananas
1 cup of Natural Peanut Butter

Gather Ingredients & Supplies
All you need is a blender and some sort of form for your ice cream. I use a cheaper model Ninja, The Ninja Master Prep, which is only $34.88 on Amazon. It’s cheap and it works great. For the forms, you can use small plastic cups, popsicle molds, an ice cube tray, or even paper dixie cups. Since my dogs are used to eating their ice cream from cups, I picked up some disposable plastic cups with lids for our first test run.  You’ll also want a cutting board, a knife to cut up the banana, and a spoon.

Once you have everything together, just follow these super simple steps.

Step 1: Peel & Cut Bananas

Step 2: Throw Everything In the Blender
The full recipe calls for 2 bananas, 1 quart of greek yogurt and about 1 cup of peanut butter. I opted to make two separate batches, so I used our smaller blender container and combined 1 banana, 1/2 of the Greek Yogurt and about a half cup of peanut butter. Depending on how much you want to make, you can do it either way.

Step 3. Blend that bad boy up!
All you have to do it literally throw everything in the blender and go. SUPER quick and easy.

Step 4. Pour into cups and freeze!
I made a half batch, which makes about 4 servings, perfect for my 4 pack of mutts. These are 5.5 oz cups, so about four 4 oz servings. A full batch makes about 8 of these cups. I opted to freeze the “ice cream” for about 1 1/2 – 2 hrs. At this point, it was nice and thick and creamy but not rock solid like Frosty Paws are. Our pups had a hard time with the harder store bought kind and would sometimes get impatient and chew the cups to get it out, so this was the perfect consistency for them. Thick enough to not make a mess, but thin enough to enjoy it easily.
